The Qonnect Auto-Q automatic rivet feeding system from Zygology optimises the riveting process across numerous assembly applications, by eliminating manual handling and improving speed, precision and ergonomics with its high-speed placing capacity of up to 60 blind rivets per minute.
One of the most important and common factors that slows down the assembly process is human. The repeated need for the operator to reach into a box, pick up a rivet, insert it into the nose of the tool and then install it is a constant drag on the speed of assembly. The new Auto-Q automatic rivet system removes that obstacle to speeding up a production line.
The bowl feeder holds up to 1,000 rivets at a time, and by utilising specially adapted rivet tools, rivets are fed to the tool nose tip at the rate of approx. 45 or more per minute. With the Auto-Q, rivet handling by the tool operator is almost completely eliminated, and downtime is significantly reduced.
A super fast and dependable rivet feeder
The rivet tools sit comfortably in your hand, are fast and offer excellent reliability. Equipped with quick release nose assemblies, jaw maintenance can be completed quickly. The feeder drive is easy to remove from the tool, and as the tools use readily available parts, routine maintenance is quick, cost-effective and straightforward.
After each rivet is installed, the PLC controlled mechanism feeds a new rivet from the bowl feeder to the nose tip almost instantly. The speed of assembly is only limited by the dexterity of the tool operator. The spent rivet stems are automatically ejected from the tool and collected in a storage container within the control unit for quick and easy disposal or recycling.
For extra peace of mind Zygology provides full, onsite, operator training on the use and care of the system with every order. The company also carries stock of consumable items and spare parts plus a full service and repair service.
