Piano hinges with gooseneck and double joint for movable, flush-mounted structures

Hinges connect components and ensure that doors, flaps or panels can be moved reliably. Their job becomes more difficult if housing fronts are to be flush with the surface or if edges, profiles and seals are in the way during opening. Such situations call for hinges that do more than just connect. For such applications, norelem offers highly movable piano hinges with gooseneck and with integrated double joint.

For enclosures and panels with flush fronts and complex installation environments, the piano hinges made by norelem offer two special solutions: a version with a gooseneck and a version with a double joint. Both variants ensure that doors and flaps can be moved in a safe and space-saving manner even when interfering contours are in the way.

Flexible, precise and robust

Piano hinges with gooseneck are mounted inside the housing and are suitable for applications where the hinges need to be completely concealed from outside view. This protects them from vandalism, dirt and weather influences. Typical areas of application include control cabinet construction, mechanical engineering and vehicle construction as well as high-quality furniture and interior fittings.

They are available in two versions: with a 90-degree opening angle for space-saving, right-angled openings and with a 120-degree opening angle for particularly convenient access during maintenance and service work.

Double joint for increased mobility

Piano hinges with integrated double joint offer another solution for applications where standard hinges are not sufficient. Two pivot points allow doors or flaps to be guided past protruding contours in a controlled manner.

In addition to the aluminium version - ideal for classic mechanical engineering, for control cabinets and industrial enclosure cladding - a corrosion-resistant version made of high-quality stainless steel is available as well. It offers resistance to moisture, harsh environments and cleaning agents over the long term, making it ideal for outdoor applications, vehicle and shipbuilding, as well as for areas where components are regularly cleaned with a damp cloth.
