Lohmann Honoured for Sustainable and Digital Innovation
The Future Initiative Rhineland-Palatinate (ZIRP) has recognised Lohmann as a "Future Company 2025." The jury honours Lohmann as a company that does not see sustainability, digitalisation and innovation as isolated topics, but as strategically interconnected elements of a comprehensive system that secures future business success.
ZIRP is a network of business, science, and politics that regularly honours companies taking responsibility and shaping change with forward-thinking ideas.
Lohmann impressed with a clear vision: sustainability as a guiding principle and digitalisation as a tool for measurable impact. The interplay of technical excellence, data-driven management and social responsibility is firmly anchored in our strategy and demonstrates what future viability in industry can look like.
Alexander Schweitzer, Minister President of Rhineland-Palatinate, emphasised the company's pioneering role in his laudatory speech: "Lohmann demonstrates impressively how digitalisation and sustainability can go hand in hand. With courage for innovation, a sense of responsibility, and a clear vision for the future, Lohmann is a role model for Rhineland-Palatinate's industrial sector. Digitalisation helps us use resources more efficiently and is therefore a key to achieving climate neutrality by 2040."
The ZIRP jury particularly highlighted the connection between digital strategy and sustainability: from carbon accounting to sustainability ratings and the EESG Risk Radar, Lohmann embeds data-driven sustainability across all business areas.
"Lohmann convinced us because the company pursues a clear vision for a sustainable future and understands digitalisation as a tool to implement that vision," said Prof. Dr. Arnd Huchzermeier from WHU. "The combination of technical excellence and a sustainable spirit sets new standards in Rhineland-Palatinate."
