Lohmann draws strong interest at MEDICA and COMPAMED
Lohmann exhibited at MEDICA and COMPAMED this year with a clear message: the future of medical wearables is created through integrated expertise. Over four intensive days in Dusseldorf, the Lohmann booth was well attended throughout the entire trade fair, ideas were discussed and concrete development projects were planned in technical discussions with a strong focus on smart, skin-friendly and long-wear medical solutions.
A key highlight was Lohmann's CDMO+ Materials approach, which combines: in-house material development; skin- and device-grade adhesives; product design and prototyping; and coating, converting and final assembly. This integration enables customers to reduce interfaces, accelerate timelines and increase reliability throughout their device development journey.
Visitors showed particular interest in: smart patches and wearable demonstrators, merging electronics, sensors and functional layers; long-wear skin tapes, developed for comfort, extended wear time and regulatory robustness; and die-cutting samples and interactive touchpoints. Several discussions led immediately to co-creation scenarios and follow-up projects across diagnostics, monitoring and patient-care applications.
Together with US colleagues at the booth, Lohmann showcased how its international network enables customers to benefit from local support paired with global expertise. This close collaboration across regions ensures seamless development processes, consistent material quality and scalable manufacturing capabilities - wherever customers bring their medical devices to market.
The high number of qualified leads and concrete follow-ups confirm the growing relevance of Lohmann's materials expertise and CDMO+ model for the MedTech industry.
