LOCTITE expands its free e-learning platform with new automotive module
Henkel has added a new module to its free LOCTITE XPLORE e-learning platform - Rebuilding OEM Seams. Tailored specifically for professionals in the automotive repair and bodyshop industries, this marks the third LOCTITE XPLORE module dedicated to the automotive sector.
Seam sealing plays a vital role in vehicle safety and longevity, protecting against corrosion, moisture ingress and vibration, while also contributing to a smooth paint finish and professional appearance. With modern vehicles requiring a variety of seam types - standard, brushed, spray, PVC structure and more, bodyshop professionals must master a range of application methods to deliver factory-quality results.
The Rebuilding OEM Seams course provides step-by-step guidance on replicating original equipment manufacturer (OEM) seam sealing quality using TEROSON technologies. From understanding sealant chemistries to mastering different application techniques, the module equips learners with practical knowledge to improve repair speed, finish and durability.
Learners will also gain insight into the benefits of silane-modified polymer (SMP) sealants such as TEROSON MS 9320 SF. This market-leading product delivers a durable, paintable finish, is solvent- and isocyanate-free and can be applied wet-on-wet, cutting seam sealing time by up to 25 per cent compared with traditional methods.

Accessible on desktop, tablet and mobile devices, the platform supports professionals and students alike with a growing library of modules, including Fundamentals of Bonding, Structural Bonding, and now Rebuilding OEM Seams.
Each module offers engaging, hands-on content developed by Henkel's application engineering experts. Practical demonstrations, real-world case studies and an intuitive learning experience ensure users gain both theoretical and applied knowledge - wherever and whenever they choose to learn.
