Climate goals validated by Science Based Targets initiative

Starting in the 2024 reporting year, Bollhoff set ambitious CO2 targets to reduce its environmental footprint. Now it has taken an important step forward by having these targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative. This ensures that the company's targets are transparent, scientifically sound and in line with the Paris Agreement.

In concrete terms, Bollhoff wants to cut its absolute greenhouse gas emissions in its own business activities (Scope 1 and 2) in half by 2030 (-50% compared to the base year 2021). Bollhoff wants to reduce emissions in its value chain (Scope 3) by a quarter over the same period (-25% compared to 2021).

Both near-term targets were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative in 2025. This means Bollhoff has established an important guideline for itself on the path to a more sustainable future, taking the view that ambitious goals drive it to find ever more sustainable solutions.

"As a family-owned company, we see our contribution to combating climate change as a fundamental part of our corporate responsibility," says Wilhelm Bollhoff, member of company management and Managing Partner of the Bollhoff Group. "The fact that our emission targets for 2030 have now been confirmed by the Science Based Targets initiative shows us that we are on the right track."
