Cam screws with clamping lever for switching workpieces swiftly

The new cam screws with clamping lever from norelem are an ideal choice when it comes to clamping without tools, for instance in assembly and laser areas that require frequent workpiece changes. Simply flick the lever, and your workpiece is clamped.

Offering versatility and intuitive operation, they can be used directly on the clamping tool - without the need for a torque or Allen wrench. norelem has added two different new versions with varying sizes and clamping forces to their product selection.

Cam screws with integrated clamping lever offer a host of advantages, especially in assembly areas where workpieces are clamped and released at frequent intervals. Aside from offering the ability to clamp on a large number of elements in seconds, the lever also allows for the flexible positioning of the handle along a 360 degree radius and for adjustments that eliminate constraining contours in the clamping setup. What is more, the cam screws are suitable for use in cost-efficient multi-clamping setups.

The use of several cam screws with clamping lever makes it possible to load clamping pallets with multiple workpieces at the same time or to load them with complex fixtures before they are moved into the machine, cutting down on setup time.

New additions to the clamping technology range

norelem has added different versions of new cam screws with clamping lever to the portfolio:

With hexagon clamping nut made of brass, which ensures that the workpieces are clamped tightly and securely, yet in a way that is gentle on the material

With clamping washer for clamping blanks, such as cut-off portions or cast and forged parts

With thread sizes ranging from M6 to M16

With clamping forces between 1.2 and 2.8 kN (varying with the version)

The areas of application for cam screws include, first and foremost, assembly and laser areas with short cycle times and medium strain, such as mounting fixtures, test gages, manual labour stations or pre-assembly stations for groups of components. Another option is to use these products on fixture plates that are used for milling applications.
